Elizabeth Samse maintains a private flute studio in Spokane, where her students have frequently won such honors as acceptance into All-State and All-Northwest bands and orchestras, and placement at regional Solo / Ensemble festivals and other music festivals.

Elizabeth holds a Bachelor’s Degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Central Washington University, home of the Northwest’s largest music school.  She majored in music and Spanish, with emphases in ethnomusicology and flute performance.  In addition to her studies in Western music, she received a grant from the university to study South American flutes in the Ecuadorian Andes.

Elizabeth has taught and performed in the Seattle area since 1999, relocating to Spokane last year, where she is Director of Music and choir teacher at a private school. As a freelance flutist, she has given regular solo recitals and performed in both small and large ensembles.

She is a former board member of the Seattle Flute Society and a certified All Around This World music instructor.

Mariya Lincoln teaches at The Music Haven in Redmond. She has been a private flute and piano instructor on the eastside since 2000. What sets her apart as a teacher is her individualized, goal-oriented approach, and focus on creating an all-around musician, including exposure to a wide variety of music, and emphasis on creativity.

Mariya is an active freelance musician in the greater Seattle region.  She has performed for clients and venues around the Puget Sound, from public libraries and farmers markets to luxury hotels and golf courses.

Mariya comes from a varied musical background, earning a BA in music performance with honors from Southern Oregon University, where she was a four year music department and Oregon Laurels scholarship winner.  In addition to flute, she has studied voice, piano, piccolo, saxophone, recording, improvisation, jazz and pedagogy.  She plays many styles of music: from classical to jazz, South American to Indian fusion.

She is the Communications Coordinator for the Seattle Music Teachers Association, and a former board member of the Seattle Flute Society.
